Primary Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and execution of our 20+ person national field sales/area sales manager team
  • Own the hiring, training, professional development, and performance evaluation process of all District Sales Managers and Area Sales Managers
  • Oversee, manage, implement, and analyze the use of in-store marketing tactics such as: shippers, fixtures, IRCs, coupons, POS, etc.
  • Oversee multiple 3rd party merchandising companies by developing monthly priorities, training, and tracking performance
  • Work with District Sales Managers to create monthly/quarterly sales incentives, organize territory blitzes, and assign any other special projects for Area Sales Management teams
  • Work with District Sales Managers to optimize Area Sales Manager’s routing, tracking mileage, recording expenses, etc.
  • Work hand in hand with the VP of Retail Sales and National Accounts team to meet distribution and velocity goals and work to communicate these goals with internal team and external partners.
  • Ensure marketplace execution of National Retail programs.
  • Run efficient team calls weekly, to provide data, account updates, customer feedback, competitive activity, new hiring plans, market successes etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience managing a remote field/Area Sales Manager team
  • Organized, with a strong attention to detail
  • Thrives in a high paced environment
  • Experience with SPINS, Nielsen, IRI, etc.
  • Experience with retail execution platforms (Wiser/Shelvspace, etc.) is a plus
